It is an appealing interplay, where musk does dominate but allows rose a subsidiary voice. Rose is quieter; musk is the main one, while rose does surface at times, crisp and fresh. Civet adds a soft, powdery muskiness to give depth to the tonkin fragrance. The balsamic vanilla character of castoreum hasn’t settled down completely yet; it rounds out the sweetness in this composition.
